A Diverse Victory
Obama’s historic win signaled more than just voter’s preferred candidate. It offered valuable insights into the demographics of our Nation. It made us look deep into racial assumptions and accept and value the diversity of our county. It also proved that citizens are looking for change in politics and government as they experience it in their everyday lives. Indeed, between black populations, Hispanics, and people suffering from unemployment, Obama captured voters across variables. Our nation has diversity in many places and ways and Obama seemed to recognize such differences and take hold of each one to create this voting change.
