Seattle seems to be gentrifying near the waterfront as well as in the area around the Microsoft complex. It is interesting to note that several tracts surrounding the area of the Microsoft complex are characterized by an increase in % College educated. There is one group of tracts in the southern part of the city that increased in % Black from 1980 to 2000, though in general Seattle seems to be about average.
